Almost burnt down the kitchen

I had decided to take a break from studying in the middle of the night since my stomach was calling for help.
So, I headed to the kitchen in search for my lovely red bean soup.
In a 6 degree celcius ambient, a bowl of searing hot red bean soup was what I needed.
There it was, sitting beside the stove welcoming me.....

Without second thought, I turned on the gas and heated it up on the stove.
.
.
.
.
.
Half way stirring the soup, i saw 1 or 2 pieces of ashes flying out the bottom of the pot.
I swear I had no idea at all and thought it was just an illusion or mild hallucination due to stresses from studies.
Stirring...
Stirring....
.
.
.
No way, i smell burntzzz.
First thing came in my mind was, how did the red bean get burnt in the pot?? Like within 2mins.
I had adjusted the fire to moderate but it seemed to be getting stronger than it normally does.
" Must be the gas..", i thought.
I bended down and looked....
Is that a coaster underneath the pot?

FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, IT IS!!!!
Frantically off the fire and remove the pot, thank God the coaster was not very flammable.
I actually had forgotten to remove the coaster from underneath the pot.
SO SMART.
Who would have thought that it could be soooo sticky and camouflagic with the pot.

As a result, i burnt a bottom half of the coaster.

charcoal

Messed up the table a lil'

I hope Millerers would not be frighten by the 'charcoal' tomorrow and i also hope that I'm not banned from the kitchen.
*Finger crossed*

I need a 'Kitchen Dos and Don'ts for Dummies' manual.

Lesson of the day : Do not use coasters. HAHAHAHAH!!!! *shame on me*
